Cracked Out Chicken Tater Tot Casserole

I was a little skeptical when I was making this dish because I had such high expectations for it! But it delivered! It was very good, it was a great comfort food dish! Try it out and let us know what you think!

Ingredients:

3 cups chopped cooked chicken

16 oz. sour cream

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 (1 oz.) package ranch dressing mix

1 (3 0z.) bag real bacon pieces

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 lb. bag frozen tater tots

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together chicken, sour cream, soup, ranch mix, bacon and cheese. Fold in frozen tater tots. Spoon mixture into prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until bubbly,

*I added more cheese on top about half way through and then at the end turned on the broiler to melt the cheese and brown it a little.

One of my kids doesn’t like chicken, so next time I won’t do cubed chicken. I may do canned and that cuts down the prep time as well.
