This is THE best cake! This is our family favorite cake. Everyone who tries it, loves it! This was Madi’s first time making it and trying it and she loved it. It’s safe to say it only lasted one day in the fridge.
1 German chocolate boxed cake mix
1 recipe homemade caramel sauce or one jar (16 or 17 oz. ) caramel sauce
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 container (8 oz.) cool whip
1 bag (8 oz.) toffee chips
Bake boxed cake mix according to package directions.
While cake is cooking mix caramel sauce and sweetened condensed milk together.
Let cake cool for 5 min.
Using the back of a wooden spoon make holes every 1/2 to 1 inch, drizzle the caramel and sweetened condensed milk mixture into holes and evenly over the top of cake. Refrigerate about 2 hours or until completely cooled.
Spread container of cool whip over top of cake, sprinkle with toffee chips.
