I’ve never made homemade caramel sauce but this one is really easy and sooooo delicious!
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 Tbsp water
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 – 3/4 cup evaporated milk
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
Add butter, brown sugar, water, and salt to medium saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring until butter melts.
Bring to boil for 5 minutes, (it will bubble a lot!) stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup evaporated milk and vanilla. Add additional evaporated milk to reach desired consistency.

Mindy, I never realized how easy it was to make caramel sauce! I have to try this now!
Would it be wrong of me to make the caramel sauce for my own use, as “medicine” for those days that are harder than others? Spoonful of sugar, and all?
