This is a recipe that has been made for me my whole life. It’s easy and delicious and could be eaten straight outta the bowl with a spoon! Ssshhhhh, don’t tell anyone we actually do that! It’s just THAT good though!! It’s that one thing at a BBQ that I just can’t go without. We make it every single time we have get togethers in the summer. It’s a Bingham staple in the summer!
Every single time I make this I double it because one batch usually isn’t enough! Every time I bring it for a party or a crowd it’s gone in minutes. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and creamy and goes with every single fruit. There isn’t one I haven’t liked it with! Take a shot at it and see if you love it as much as we do!
There are some tips that I want to tell you before making it. Your cream cheese needs to be softened. And not like the ‘oh I just remembered I wanted to make this so I’ll nuke it in the microwave for a minute’ kind of softened. It should sit out on your counter for a good few hours kind of softened. I notice when I don’t do it this way it’s lumpy! We don’t want lumpy fruit dip! LOL! I’ve never been lucky enough to microwave cream cheese the right amount of time to get it softened without melting it. So good ol’ fashioned sitting on the counter is best!
1 block (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 small container (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
1 tsp vanilla
1. Take your cream cheese out a few hours before making the dip and let it soften.
2. Beat softened cream cheese, marshmallow creme and vanilla together until smooth and fluffy.
3. Refrigerate until being served. Serve with all varieties of fruit!
